Investment Objective

The Portfolio seeks to provide a stable level of income while attempting to preserve capital by investing primarily in a diversified mix of mutual funds and/or exchanged-traded funds for the purposes of funding a post-secondary education that is about to commence or currently in progress.

The Portfolio will primarily provide exposure to Canadian and global fixed income securities and cash equivalents.

In addition, David is a member of the CIBC Family Office’s Leadership Team and provides institutional asset allocation advice to ultra-high net worth individuals and families.

David holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. David volunteers his time serving on the investment committees of the CIBC Foundation, and Oakville Community Foundation.

Leslie chairs the firm’s Portfolio Solutions Research Forum, a platform for idea generation and thought leadership around purposeful asset allocation.

Leslie is a CFA Charterholder, has an Honours Bachelor of International Business from Carleton University, and holds a Master of Business Administration (with distinction) from Bayes Business School in London, UK.
